Fully 84% of all donations go to direct service care. The majority of our funds are spent on shelter and counseling. It is essential that at-risk women and children have immediate access to shelter and counseling.

It costs Sistercare an average of $43 per day to provide shelter for one individual and the average length of stay is 33 days.

Sistercare is a private, nonprofit, tax-exempt United Way partner agency  under Section 501 (C) (3) of the IRS Code. Donations to Sistercare, Inc. are tax deductible.

• A donation of $50 will purchase school supplies for a child who is residing in one of our emergency shelters.

• A donation of $100 will assist a battered woman with an utility deposit to help her move into a new, safe residence.

• A donation of $500 will fund therapeutic supplies and materials for use with children at a Sistercare shelter.

• A donation of $1,000 will provide food for battered women and their children at one of our shelters for a month.
