Fully 84% of all donations go to direct service care. The majority of our funds are spent on shelter and counseling. It is essential that at-risk women and children have immediate access to shelter and counseling.

It costs Sistercare an average of $46 per day to provide shelter for one individual and the average length of stay is 30 days.

Sistercare is a private, nonprofit, tax-exempt United Way partner agency  under Section 501 (C) (3) of the IRS Code. Donations to Sistercare, Inc. are tax deductible.

• A gift of $100 will provide shelter for an individual for 2 days in one of our shelters.

• A gift of $250 will fund play therapy supplies and materials for 40 children from violent homes.

• A gift of $500 will fund food for two weeks to feed 25 children who were exposed to domestic violence.

• A gift of $1000 will fund eight training sessions for middle school students concerning domestic violence and dating violence prevention.
